Lockheed L-1011 TriStar - Air Transat
Air Transat is part of Transat A.T. Inc., one of the world's largest integrated tourism companies in the world. Both were formed in 1987. Air Transat is now the biggest vacation charter airline in Canada an made its first flight on November 14, 1987, from Montreal to Acapulco. Air Transat started using Boeing 727s, but soon introduced the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar. It flew standard body TriStars of several versions and also a number of the short-body TriStar 500. The aircraft have been replaced now by the Airbus A330.
