INSTELLINGEN NETSCAPE

 (download vanaf channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/)

Je kunt gewoon de zoekbalk bovenin het Netscape menu gebruiken, maar gebruik niet de
"search"-knop om te zoeken, anders houdt netscape je internet-activiteiten bij (lees)

Open Netscape en klik op: "Edit" >"Preferences".
Navigator Vul bij: "Home Page" een andere website in. Of kies bij:
"When navigator starts up, display" de optie "Blank Page".
History >Remember visited pages for the last 0 days.
Indien u niet wilt dat anderen kunnen zien welke sites u heeft bezocht moet u na elke
Internetsessie bij "Location bar history" op "Clear location bar" klikken.
Smart Browsing
-Enable Internet Keywords uitschakelen
-Location Bar Autocomplete uitschakelen
Composer >Maximum number of pages listed: 0
Privacy & Security
Cookies Optie: "Enable cookies based on privacy settings" inschakelen
Klik daarna op "View" en in het nieuwe scherm op: "Custom". Zorg hier voor de volgende instellingen:

First party cookiesThird party cookies
Site has no privacy policyRejectReject
Site collects personally identifiable information without your consentRejectReject

Images Do not load remote images in mail & newsgroup messages inschakelen
(Zodat je minder "spam" ontvangt. Foto's die vrienden je sturen kun je nog wel zien)
Popup window controls Kies afhankelijk van je Netscape versie:
-"Suppress popups" inschakelen. Óf:
-"Block unrequested popup windows" inschakelen
Forms >"Save form data from web pages when completing forms" uitschakelen
Passwords
-"Remember passwords" uitschakelen
-"Use encryption when storing sensitive data" inschakelen
Advanced >"Enable java" uitschakelen
Scripts & plugins
Enable javascript for
Navigator inschakelen
Mail & newsgroups uitschakelen
Allow webpages to:/ Allow scripts to:
-Move or resize existing windows uitschakelen
-Raise or lower windows uitschakelen
-Hide the status bar uitschakelen
-Create or change cookies uitschakelen
-Read cookies uitschakelen
Enable plugins for >Mail & newsgroups uitschakelen
Cache >"Disk cache" 0 kb. Klik daarna op: "Clear disk cache".
Software Installation >"Check for updates:" uitschakelen

INSTALLEREN NETSCAPE


Uw weet nooit welke informatie naar Netscape wordt doorgezonden tijdens
het installeren van de browser. Er is een manier om hier omheen te werken.
Op deze manier verkleint u ook de kans op spionage.

-Na downloaden en openen van het Netscape setup programma, ziet u het installatie scherm.
-In het scherm "Setup Type" kiest u: CUSTOM. Indien u Netscape in een andere
map wilt installeren klikt u op "Browse". (Klik Next)
-In het scherm "Select Typical Components" kunt u wanneer u wilt de optie:
Mail & Instant Messaging uitschakelen (Klik Next)
-In het scherm "Select Additional Components" de optie: Quality Feedback Agent uitschakelen
(Klik 3x Next)
-In het scherm "Additional Options" de optie: Make Netscape.com my home page uitschakelen en
Save files locally inschakelen (Klik Next en Install)
