CLEAN USER- AND INTERNET TRACKS FROM YOUR COMPUTER
Configuration Spybot-search and destroy
Configuration SSS (System Security Suite)
Watch out using your Office-documents
There's quite a bit of software available for this purpose. I don't know any individual program which
can clear all your Surfing-tracks at once. There are dozens of folders on your computer containing stored
information about your "Internet-preferences". When you combine the following 2 programs and you
configure them the right way, you cán clear a whole lot of tracks with a few mouse-clicks.
A)SPYBOT-SEARCH & DESTROY
(free download from:www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid/22262,00.asp)
- Spybot-S&D is an adware and spyware detection and removal tool. This includes removal
of certain advertising components, that may gather statistics as well as detection of
various keyloggers and other spy utilities. In addition, it also securely removes PC and
Internet usage tracks.
- Settings spybot-search & destroy:
Use WindowsExplorer, go to: C:\ProgramFiles\Spybot-search&destroy and open SpybotSD.exe
Choose option: "Settings" >"Settings" and enable the following settings:
- A)Create backups of fixed spyware problems for easy recovery: disable
B)Create backups of fixed usage tracks for easy recovery: disable
C)At: "Log file settings" disable all 4 options
D)Include results of last check in report: disable
E)Show expert buttons in result list: enable
F)Show expert buttons in recovery list: enable
- Using spybot-search & destroy:
-Choose option: "Check for problems"
-Choose: "Select all items" and then "Fix selected problems"
B)SYSTEM SECURITY SUITE
(free download from: www.igorshpak.net)
- Ideal program to remove Internet tracks and junk files from your computer.
The best tool I've found so far for Privacy on your Pc.
In addition to the items cleaned as seen on the picture below, it cleans INDEX.DAT,
TEMP and RECENT folders automatically.
Furthermore you can add folder locations, which will be cleaned in addition to the
selected items.

- I'm not forcing you to add the folders listed below to the "Items To Clear".
I'm just saying there's a lot of Surfing-traces in these folders and it worked for me. If
you're not sure, use Windows Explorer and check the folders contents for yourself before
adding them.
Settings system security suite:
-Click: "Items To Clear" and enable all options.
-Click: "User defined folders" and "Add" the following folders:
- C:\WINDOWS\APPLOG
C:\WINDOWS\Application data\Microsoft\Media player
C:\WINDOWS\Application data\Microsoft\Office\Recent
C:\WINDOWS\Application data\Kazaa Lite\db
- (Don't forget to enable the fields in front of the options)
NEVER add the folders: Command or System
C)WATCH OUT USING YOUR OFFICE DOCUMENTS
- Never send an MS Office document to any destination when you're concerned about privacy.
(Every MS Office document has it's unique code which can be traced back to YOU.) MS Word
includes user info in your documents. So make sure this info is not specific to you.
- It's best to copy the contents into a text editor (notepad) and send the txt.file.
Or you could try Docscrubber (freeware), which should clean Word Documents by removing
Hidden Logs, the Unique Identifier (GUID) and other "metadata".
