Route Vancouver to Tofino

Distance 220 KM (138 Miles)/ 6 Hours 

Itinerary From Vancouver take Hwy 99 towards the south and turn off at exit Hwy 17. Drive on to the ferry at Tsawwassen. From here it’s about 2 hours sailing to Nanaimo. Continue the journey by car via Hwy 19 to Qualicum Beach. Take Hwy 4 which runs winding through the mountains to the west coast. Follow this road to Tofino.

Along the way The first stop is rather quickly, the ferry of Tsawwassen takes 2 hours via the Strait of Georgia to Nanaimo.

Once in the car, you can drive on via Hwy 4 to just before Port Alberni. Here you can pay a visit to the Cathedral Grove in the MacMillan Provincial Park.

At the end of the trip you can walk different trails in the Pacific Rim National Park on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
