Yes, we stay in bed until 8:45 AM...
We were startled by the news that some American planes were hijacked and forced
to fly into the WTC and into the Pentagon. In these planes were a lot of passengers,
thousands of people were killed. No plane is allowed to take off, even Vancouver
International Airport is closed. These were attacks by terrorist. The
United States of America is considering what to do.
Well then, that was the bad news. We were walking to the Visitors Info, which

appears
to be closed! Next we go to a Danish bakery to get some buns, cheese and a
few bottles of water which we need for lunch. After this we walked to the
coffee shop to get a cup of coffee and cake. Then we get into the car on the
way to the Moose Park Valley. The path to this park was very bumpy so we decided
to return and drive on to the Sheridan
Lake. We had to search for a while but finally we found a boat rental
at the lake. The woman who rents the boats came from our homeland the Netherlands
where she had lived in the city named Utrecht. It was a little bit funny,
first we were stumbling in speaking English until she asked "Where are
you from?". We got a 6-pk boat on which we traveled to a small island
where we went for a picnic. We did also see 2 fish-hawks. This was really
an amazing sight, the birds had made a big nest in the trees. The water of
the lake was as clear as crystal and full of trout, sometimes we saw them
jumping out of the water! Back to the hotel
where we go swimming before we go to dinner. We had a delicious meal, a Chinook
salmon, and again we were served by the friendly waitress. We go to sleep
at 10:15 PM.
