My parents married at August 23rd 1951, a fruitful bond that delivered three children.

First my two brothers: Edwin and Robin.

Finally, little Jolanda at April 15th 1961. An Aries as astrological sign, so a go-getter.

My enormous creativity showed early. I was always busy with something. I was not so fascinated with learning at school. With sport and creativity lessons however, I stood always in front.

(1965) As a little girl I was fond of my 'deerndel' dress from Austria. Was I was older, I had an other one but that was the last one. Now it looks better on other children.

(1971) Dolls where my best playmates. I had quite a few. This was 'Marieke', my largest doll.

Long hair is my trade mark. I once had my hair cut when I was 14 or so, but felt sorry soon afterwards. It took years before it was back to full length.

Sport was an other great interest: turning, ballet, dancing, judo and horseback riding. But my hair remained long. Every day after school there was some sport activity: ballet on Monday, school gymnastics on Tuesday, turning on Wednesday, judo on Thursday, dancing on Friday, horseback riding on Saturday and sometimes a dance competition on Sunday.

For my education I moved to Schoonhoven in 1980 for a period of 6 years. Sport activity's where reduced to a low level. Later I moved to Gouda to live there with Rene and I started judo again. I introduced Rene to judo.
