Marius Bauer etchings
I fell in love with the Indian etching and watercolours of Marius Bauer (1867 - 1932). This Dutch artist made two trips to India, one in 1897-'98, the second in 1924-'25. They resulted in hundress of works. I have bought a few of his etchings at auctions. The first was An Indian Palace from 1926, number 262 in the Van Wisselingh Catalogue.
The second is A Benares Sadhu, number 263 in the Van Wisselingh Catalogue.
I am still looking for a nice Bauer aquarel from India. Who makes me an offer?
