To Let Me In

Outside, only a few steps away from the doorway
But still it seems like a journey
Washed away the history
The colours the scent
Outside only the cold absorbs me
Will you let me in

And I want to know so much
Each new step I have to be taught
Each new colour I learn to see
Each breath I am afread to take
What to believe if to believe at all
I want to know your face

Outside, only a few steps away from the doorway
So many steps still I can't come in
I look inside glide away to hide
afread they find my every sin
Written in the lines on my face

And I need to know so much
How I come this far and yet I'm afread to touch
Touch new grounds

Each new step I have to be taught
Each new colour I'm yet learning to see
Each breath I am afread to take
Till I saw your face
 let me in

Outside only a few steps away from the doorway
You know my every sin
