Malawi Maps

This is the map of Malawi, with in the centre Lilongwe, the capital and in the south Blantyre, the biggest city.

We lived in Phalombe a small market town (still the capital of a 1 million people district), 80 km east of Blantyre. Click on the map for more information on Malawi

By road it took us, somewhere between 1,5 and 4 hours to get to Blantyre, where the nearest banks and normal supplied grocery stores were. Most beautiful was our view on Mulanje Mountain (3001 m / 9998 ft high mountains), click the map to see it.

After 6 months we decided we had to discover the rest of our neighbouring countries and travelled to Zambia and then back to Malawi. After some change of clothes and bags we went to Tete-Beira-Vilanculos-Maputo (Mozambique). In South Africa we stayed in Nelspruit and Messina. And Zimbabwe was visited by going to Harare-Bulawayo-Vic Falls (click picture) – Harare. Home we went via Tete to Blantyre and good old Phalombe.
