Batterie Callantsoog.
Bt. Callantsoog was the only battery in the Stützpunkt. Gruppe Callantsoog. The complete battery counted 14 heavy bunkers. Four of these were gunbunkers, with 7,6cm guns. The range of the guns was 10 km. Because not all the bunkers were constructed in exactly the same direction the field in which firing was possible, was 183 degrees. The field of each individual bunker was 120 degrees, so only in a small field of 63degrees all guns could be used. The battery was manned by the Marine Artillerie Abteilung 607. It formed battery number eight of this group. The Gunbunkers were from the type 671. It was an regular kind of bunker.
